The Series 600 deadbolt bore is 2-3/4″ backset, not the standard 2-3/8″, which matters if you’re sourcing replacement hardware. Signs Your CWS Door Installation Is Failing

• Water intrusion at the sill during heavy rain. The composite sill cap on Series 400 units cracks after 6-10 years of UV and chlorine exposure in Pinecrest’s pool-adjacent homes. • Condensation between the glass panes on a dual-pane unit. This indicates seal failure, not installation failure, but the CWS glazing bead must be removed correctly to avoid cracking the laminated lite. The Series 600 uses a snap-in vinyl bead; the Series 400 uses a screw-applied aluminum stop.
