Every window and door we install in Pinecrest passes through the hands of people who live here too. Our crew isn’t rotated in from Fort Lauderdale or dispatched from a call center three counties away. We’re the team that measures your openings, loads the truck, and comes back if the sill needs another shim. What ties us together is simple: we work under the Haven Standard, and we put our names on it.

Sonia Raman, Owner
I started Sightline in 2012 because I was tired of watching homeowners get one price on the phone and another when the crew showed up. Haven Clause 1 - Have it in writing - means the measurement and the quote are the same document, and I sign every one before we start. I hold a Florida Residential Contractor license and I’ve personally surveyed more than 4,000 openings in Miami-Dade and Pinecrest, from Palmetto Bay ranch homes to the custom builds off Snapper Creek. I keep a set of PGT WinGuard spec sheets in my truck because I still spot-check installations on random Tuesdays. Off the job, I grow mangoes in my yard near Pinecrest Gardens and I will talk your ear off about soil pH if you let me.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us eight years and runs the crew on every impact window install from Red Road down to Old Cutler. He’s certified in PGT and CGI installation methods and he’s the one who catches when a rough opening is out of square by half an inch - which happens more than you’d think in Pinecrest’s 1960s concrete block homes. Marcus keeps a notebook of every jobsite quirk he’s seen: the house in King’s Bay with the non-standard jamb depth, the Snapper Creek build where the architect spec’d ViewLux geometric windows without accounting for the mullion load. He rides a vintage Honda motorcycle and he’s never once been late to a 7 a.m. start.
Elena V., Senior Installer
Elena came to us from commercial glazing and she’s the reason our custom and geometric window installs don’t leak. She holds certifications from ES Windows and ECO Window Systems and she’s trained two of our apprentices in proper sill pan flashing - the kind of detail that separates a window that survives a Category 3 from one that doesn’t. Elena grew up in Hialeah and she knows the Pinecrest permitting office well enough to know which inspector prefers photo documentation in which format. She speaks Spanish with our customers who prefer it, and she has a standing rule: no radio on jobsites, because she needs to hear if the shims are compressing wrong.
Darnell K., Service Coordinator
Darnell answers the phones that ring at 10 p.m. when a customer notices a draft they didn’t catch during walkthrough. He’s not reading from a script - he’s the one who schedules the return visit, pulls the original photo record, and flags whether it’s a warranty issue or a settlement crack in the stucco. Before joining Sightline, Darnell spent six years in facilities management for a hospital system, so he’s unusually good at explaining why a U-factor matters to your FPL bill in August. He lives in South Miami and he’s the one who reminds the rest of us when the Pinecrest farmers market is running late, because he knows we’re all stopping there for lunch.
Javi R., Apprentice Installer
Javi’s in his second year with us and he’s already handled full replacements on Therma-Tru entry doors under Elena’s supervision. He’s working toward his CGI certification and he’s the crew member who actually reads the full installation bulletin before opening the crate - a habit Marcus noticed and now encourages in every new hire. Javi grew up in a house with original 1978 jalousie windows, so he has strong opinions about what a difference proper glazing makes. He asks more questions than anyone on the team, which is exactly why we hired him.

The Haven Standard governs every Sightline crew across Florida, but it’s executed by the people on your driveway. Haven Clause 2 - Arrive on schedule - means Marcus texts when he’s twenty minutes out, not when he’s already at the curb. Haven Clause 3 - Verified crews - means Elena and Javi arrive in uniform with license numbers visible, not day labor pulled from a parking lot. Haven Clause 4 - Evidence on every job - means Darnell can pull the photo record from your install in March and tell you exactly which caulk tube was used on the north-facing sill. Haven Clause 5 - No surprises - means the written price Sonia signed is the price you pay, even if we find rot in the subframe we didn’t expect.
